Friendship

FRIENDSHIP

This is the silhouette of a pineapple
And it is friendship
The past is real like water
And heavy like the ground
And it is like a child’s wish
To become a fox, an astronomer
This is why I write poems
It is joy like turning around to see
A million glowing pink starfish
You can know this feeling in the morning
On the train and other places
This is like a puppy that wants your attention
You give it your attention
Ever since I was small I have been
Out of control and it cannot be undone
It does not please me
I do not trust people who it pleases
I do not trust people who it controls
Poetry is like sending someone
Knives made of cloth and ink
It is not a crime
And it can forget that
This is when I miss you
And ask you to be an object
For me to find
But I can’t find you
And then I do a wrong thing with a cigarette
It’s very red grey
This is a call to you friend
I lost an idea that might be important to find
