Shannon Burns

 January

noticing hairs more
in my environment

now a big hunk of bark
falls on the roof of my car
and breaks loudly
and scatters in the street
like a computer

now this poofy headed rich teenager
blocking the intersection

who did I bless today

someone I'm jealous of
and someone I think is stupid
it feels wrong to remember it now

it feels wrong to improve

February

the desire
to be a big
horsey woman
